FURNITURE TOPS & FIREPLACE DOORS

TOPS:
- We use quarter-inch glass to protect surfaces. Use
a metal ruler to measure the width and length in inches. We can cut glass
to the nearest 1/16-inch. Cost for a rectangle with seamed (smooth) edges
is $5.25 per square foot.
- If you have rounded corners, make a pencil tracing
of the corners on paper.
- Circles are easy for us to cut. Just measure
the diameter. Call for a quotation.
- For patterns and furniture with curves, it is
best to bring the furniture into Arrow Glass or for you to make a paper
pattern using a lead pencil to do the tracing.
- FIREPLACE
DOORS:
We use tempered glass.
Tempered glass is manufactured by taking regular glass, heating it in a
special furnace, and then cooling it quickly. This process puts the glass
in a "strain" which, when broken, will break into many smaller,
safe pieces. Although tempered glass is used in fireplace doors, it will
break. It's best to bring in the fireplace door so that we can get accurate
measurements and quote you an exact price for installation.
