REPLACEMENT WINDOWS
To replace an existing window, including the entire frame, we select from several established suppliers to meet your specific needs.
What are the advantages of new replacement windows?
1. Easier to clean in that most tilt inward... both top and bottom sash.
2. More energy efficient in that each window has an outside lite of glass, a spacer dividing the glass, and an inside lite of glass. In many cases the space between the glass is filled with Argon gas to cut down heat transfer. Emissive coating (commonly called Low E) increases the insulation value.
3. Vinyl windows never need painting, but may be painted for a color change.
4. In most installations we cover the outside remaining wood with aluminum to further reduce maintenance.
5. New windows open and close easily and are weather tight.
How much do replacement windows cost?
Depending on the size a typical installed price for a vinyl window (one that opens from either the top or bottom) is from $275 to $450. If you go much lower in price the window will look good initially, but it will not stand the test of time.
